Emblem of the Two-Tailed Leviathan according to the Gaon of Vilna (with a “Six-Pointed Star” superimposed upon it) and the verse (in Hebrew), “The blossoms have appeared in the land; the time of singing has arrived and the call of the turtledove is heard in our land.” (Song of Songs 2:12)
This symbol is a graphic depiction from the Gaon’s commentary on a section of the Zohar’s Sifra DiTzinuta. The diagram is mapping out the cosmic “circuits” of the higher dimensional “brain” of “Arich Anpin” or, in theological language, the “Godhead”. This is an “aerial view” with the bottom of the diagram being the back of the head (“west”). The fundamental design is that of a central column dividing at its top into two branches that curve around to reunite at its original starting point. This is the form of the sacred cosmic Leviathan that reveals itself as two Leviathans only to reunite as one and is the hidden foundation of the secret of the Twin Messiahs and the Kabbalah school of the Gaon of Vilna as explained in the book, The Secret Doctrine of the Gaon of Vilna.
